Laundry Clerk (Work Clothes)

Tasks and Responsibilities

Operate washers and dryers to wash, soak, and clean work clothing (lab coats/aprons/coveralls used by production and manufacturing employees).
Collect soiled work clothes in the various bins for this purpose.
Transport/push the bins of lab coats/aprons/coveralls to be washed towards the washing machine.
Fill the soaking tank with cleaning products and soak the clothes.
Verify and stir clothes during soaking.
Transfer the clothes ready to be washed into the washing machine.
Ensure that clothes are well washed and that stains have been soaked and cleaned correctly.
Unload the washer and load the dryer with clothes ready to be dried.
Sort clean work clothes according to sizes.
Put clean work clothes on hangers.
Bring back clean work clothes in the manufacturing/production zone.
Follow good manufacturing practices and comply with quality standards.
Train new employees as needed.
All other tasks related to production or manufacturing.

Skills and Competencies

Have a high school diploma.
Meticulous, organized, and detail oriented.
Autonomous, responsible, and able to carry out several tasks at once.
Ability to work in a team and be able to carry out manual tasks.
Be able to walk, work standing, bend, squat, and lift and move loads between 10 to 25 pounds.

Education and Experience

Have a high school diploma.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
40 hours / week - Full-time permanent position
